Pulsar always respects the record and field permissions when the user is offline but permissions on the server side could have changed since the user last ran a sync. In this example, the user was able to edit a record while they were offline since Pulsar had the permission set information from the last sync but meanwhile, the server-side permissions had changed.

The user has now two options:

  • To email the log to the admin and request the admin grant permission, after which they can successfully sync their changes.

or

  • To abandon the update they made while they were offline.

The sync algorithm prompts the user which action to take.
