Problem

After attempting to sync, the user receives one of two connection error codes, depending on the operating system:

  • Error 1200: An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made

  • Error 60: SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK

Solution

This is a Salesforce connection error related to the SSL certificate. The SSL certificate encrypts information between the Pulsar app and Salesforce. The SSL certificate helps to keep sensitive information safe.

There are multiple reasons for an SSL certificate error. It could be that the certificate provider is not trusted, the certificate could be expired, or the certificate could be canceled. Other reasons include improper formatting, improper installation, or a firewall or other security software interfering with the certificate.

The SSL certificate may need to be refreshed or updated for the server you are trying to access.

Additionally, you can check to see if you still get the error when logging in through a browser. For instance, if you first received the error while using Pulsar on a mobile device, check to see if you can log in to Salesforce directly using your web browser. If you cannot successfully log in using the browser, review your SSL certificate for the server you are trying to access.
