Windows requirements to run the Pulsar app

 

 

 

 

Minimum Windows OS version

Windows 10, 1903

Supported Devices

Tablet, Laptop, Desktop

RAM requirement (for best user experience)

8 GB of RAM

Disk Space

128 GB (storing 1 million records takes about 1.4 – 1.5 GB of hard disk space)

CPU speed

It matters in terms of how fast the app/calculations/sync can run. So please choose accordingly.

Android requirements to run the Pulsar app

 

 

 

 

Minimum Android OS version

The Pulsar app officially supports up to 2 versions behind the latest released version of Android. Note: This does not include Beta versions of Android.

Special notes about Android:

  • There are thousands of Android operating system versions (since it is open source and anybody can fork and create their own O/S) making it a hard environment to control and quality test. We usually recommend that customers choose the standard vendors like Google, Samsung and Motorola since their O/S versions tend be stable and better tested.

  • Ending Support for Android 32-bit with Pulsar version 15 - As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline performance, enhance security, and take full advantage of modern technologies, we have made the decision to end support for Android 32-bit devices in future updates. This shift aligns with industry trends and Microsoft and Google guidelines.

    What Does This Mean for Users?

    • Users with 32-bit devices will no longer receive updates for Pulsar for Salesforce apps. While 32-bit devices may continue to run the older version as they did before, they will not receive any new features and improvements in the app and the older versions will not be supported by Luminix.

    • For users on 64-bit devices, there will be no impact. In fact, they’ll benefit from faster, more secure, and better-optimized apps moving forward.
