Problem

After attempting to sync, the user receives a connection error (code 1200) with this description: An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.

Solution

This is a Salesforce connection error related to the SSL certificate. You may need to refresh or update the SSL certificate. This error indicates that you may be putting your sensitive information at risk.

You need to check that your server certificate is production-ready. The certificate must match your DNS, not be a wildcard certificate.

Additionally, you can check to see if you still get the error when logging in through a browser. For instance, if you first received the error while using Pulsar on a mobile device, check to see if you can log in to Salesforce directly using your web browser. If you cannot successfully log in using the browser, review your SSL certificate for the server you are trying to access.

For more information, refer to this Salesforce help article: Identity Connect - Certificate Error while logging through the Salesforce for Android and iOS. Check the Salesforce forums for more information about updating your SSL certificate.
