Logging into

the Sandbox

iOS

  1. Launch Pulsar.

  2. Do one of the following to log in:

    1. If you are not on the login screen -

      1. Click the settings button (gear icon) in the lower right corner.

      3. Click the Select another account button.

    2. If you are on the login screen, do one of the following

      • Click the button for your account.

        1. Choose an account email and click Select

        2. Click New User if the account is not in the list

  3. Choose Sandbox.

  4. Enter the account email address.

  5. Enter the account password.

  6. Click Allow on the Allow access screen.

  7. If asked for a verification code, check the email listed on the screen and enter the code in the box.

Android or Windows

  • Launch Pulsar

  • Do one of the following to log in:

    1. You are not on the login screen -

      1. Click the settings button (gear icon) in the lower right corner.

      2. Click the Switch/add user button.

      3. Click the New User button.

    2. You are on the login screen and your desired login email is on the button -

      1. Click the button for your account.

    3. You are on the login screen and your desired login email is not on the button -

      1. Choose Select user and do one of the following:

        • Choose an account email and click Select.

        • Click New User if the account is not in the list.

  • Choose Sandbox.

  • Enter the account email address.

    • Enter the account password.

    Pulsar is the same as logging into Salesforce mobile, because Pulsar uses the same SDK. For this reason, Pulsar does not require a separate login and uses your Salesforce login.

    Follow these instructions to log into Pulsar in the desired environment - Production, Sandbox, or a Custom/Community URL.

    The log in process is differs for new users and existing users. Click the link to go to the instructions.

    First time Logging into Pulsar

    1. Launch Pulsar.

    2. If you have never logged in as a user, you will see the login screen below. Click Sign in with Salesforce.

    3. Choose a connection type. The option to login to Production is the default choice. You can always choose a different connection type to login to Sandbox or a Custom/Community URL.

    Community, Custom Server/SSO

    iOS - Click the + sign to use a Community URL or Custom server (if you are using a SSO server). Then enter your address (URL) in the Host box and click Done.

    Enter the address (URL) without the https://.

    Android/Windows - Click Community or Custom (if you are using a SSO server). Then enter your address (URL).

    Uncheck the Production server checkbox if your URL is for a sandbox.

    1. Log in and enter the account email address and password.

    If you see the home screen when you launch Pulsar, you have auto-login enabled. Follow the instructions in Logging in as a Different User, and then come back to these steps.

    1. Launch Pulsar.

    2. Click Select another account.

    Logging into a Community URL

  • Open your browser.

  • Enter the URL of the Community you wish to log into.

  • Enter the username and password on the login screen.

  • Click Log in.

    • The Pulsar app opens

    If you launch Pulsar and see the Home screen, follow the steps below to get back to the login screen and login as a different user.
