titleInstallation Troubleshooting Steps

If after installation, a user is having trouble accessing Pulsar licensed features, you can check if their profile is set up properly to access the Pulsar Settings package.

1. Click on Set Up
  ->  Installed Packages
 ->  Pulsar Settings
 -> View Components
 -> licenseRest
 -> Security
-> Make sure the profile this user belongs to has permission on this class.
2. Click on Manage Users
 -> Profiles
 -> Select the profile of the user who is having the issues
 -> Make sure they have read permission on Pulsar Settings custom object

 -> After that look under ‘Field Level Security’
 -> Click on Pulsar Settings
 -> Make sure they can read Key, Value and Priority  fields.

We had the following request from a few customers, so here is the answer if you are considering doing this.
Q: What if I want to create different settings for different user profiles?
A: You can achieve this via Sharing Settings (Set up -> Security Controls -> Sharing Settings).
i.  Set PulsarSetting object to private from Public Read/Write
ii. Setup the new Pulsar Setting sharing rules
iii. Then set the owner of each of the different Pulsar setting to someone in the sharing group.
